How and Where to Watch Boca vs Vasco da Gama in Copa Sudamericana on beIN SPORTS

  • Boca host Vasco da Gama at La Bombonera in the first leg of the semifinals, with Leandro Paredes ruled out and a place in the final on the line.

Boca Juniors host Vasco da Gama on Tuesday, October 13 at La Bombonera in the first leg of the 2026 Copa Sudamericana semifinals. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 PM ET, with beIN SPORTS coverage beginning at 8:20 PM ET.

Boca have the advantage of opening the tie in front of their home crowd, but they will also feel the pressure to take a positive result to Brazil. The second leg is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, also at 8:30 PM ET, with the venue still to be confirmed.

Piero Maza will referee a matchup between two of South America’s historic clubs, with the winner moving within one game of lifting the Sudamericana trophy.

Boca are flying, but Paredes is out

Rodolfo Arruabarrena’s side enter the semifinal in one of their best stretches of the season. Boca are unbeaten in 17 consecutive matches, their best run since Juan Román Riquelme became club president, and eliminated São Paulo in the quarterfinals.

The biggest concern comes in midfield. Leandro Paredes will miss the entire tie after suffering a muscle tear in the 2-2 draw against Instituto, a major absence given his influence in possession and leadership within the team.

Arruabarrena will have to choose between Carlos Palacios and Williams Alarcón to replace him. There is another decision to make in attack, where Sebastián Villa and Ángel Romero are competing for a place in the starting lineup.

Vasco arrive with a very different reality in Brazil

Vasco da Gama took a longer route to the semifinals. The Brazilian side finished second in Group G with 10 points before eliminating Olimpia and Independiente Medellín to reach the final four.

Their domestic situation is much more complicated. Vasco sit 14th in the Brasileirão, only three points above the relegation zone, making the Sudamericana one of the biggest priorities of their season.

The squad also includes several Argentine players, including Alan Lescano, Santiago Sosa and Claudio Spinelli. Facundo Colidio, however, is ineligible for the tie after already playing in this edition of the competition with River Plate.

Possible Boca vs Vasco da Gama lineups

Paredes’ absence forces Boca to make a change in midfield, although Arruabarrena is expected to keep most of the structure that carried his team into the semifinals.

Boca Juniors: Álvaro Montero; Leandro Lozano, Lautaro Di Lollo, Facundo Herrera, Lautaro Blanco; Santiago Ascacíbar, Williams Alarcón or Carlos Palacios, Milton Delgado; Leonel Flores, Sebastián Villa and Miguel Merentiel.

Vasco da Gama: Leo Jardim; Paulo Henrique, Alan Saldivia, Robert Renan, Cuiabano; Santiago Sosa, Marino Hinestroza, Alan Lescano, Thiago Mendes, Andrés Gómez and Bruno Duarte.
