FIFA Reveals the Huge Amount It Will Allocate for the 2025 Club World Cup Prizes
FIFA will allocate 1 billion dollars to be distributed among all the participants in the 2025 Club World Cup
In recent weeks, various media outlets worldwide confirmed that FIFA had revealed the amount of money that would be allocated to reward the 32 teams participating in the 2025 Club World Cup. Information that has now been confirmed by FIFA itself, putting the total sum… at 1 billion dollars!

Unequal prize distribution in the Club World Cup
Just for participating, all the clubs that will take part in the 2025 Club World Cup, which will take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13, will receive a significant amount of money. However, the amount will vary depending on a classification based on unspecified sports and commercial criteria set by FIFA. “There is no doubt that this solidarity program will greatly encourage the efforts aimed at making football truly global,” said Gianni Infantino (FIFA president).
According to the breakdown in the report presented by FIFA this morning, these criteria are based on the continent of origin for the 32 teams qualified for the 2025 Club World Cup. While European clubs will receive between 12.81 and 38.19 million dollars for participating, those from Oceania will only receive 3.58 million dollars. South American clubs will receive 15.21 million, while all participants from CONCACAF, Asia, and Africa will be rewarded with 9.55 million dollars.
How much money will the Club World Cup champion receive?
Without a doubt, this can be considered a discriminatory measure by FIFA, justified by the commercial appeal of UEFA clubs. However, the distribution of the other prizes is completely equitable regardless of the confederation to which the teams belong. "The distribution model aligns with the highest expression of club football represented by the FIFA Club World Cup and constitutes the largest cash prize pool in history,” stated Gianni Infantino.
As the different clubs advance through the rounds, the reward will increase, reaching a total prize of 125 million dollars for the 2025 Club World Cup champion. The breakdown is as follows: 7.5 million dollars for qualifying for the Round of 16; 13.125 million dollars for advancing to the quarterfinals; 21 million dollars for reaching the semifinals; 30 million dollars for reaching the final… and an additional 40 million dollars for the champion.
