Endrick made an impressive return to Real Madrid, scoring in a 2-2 preseason draw against Fiorentina before earning praise from José Mourinho after the match.

The Brazilian forward was one of Madrid's standout performers in the club's first public preseason friendly under Mourinho's second spell in charge.

It took Endrick just 12 minutes to find the back of the net.

After receiving a pass from Álvaro Carreras, the Brazilian controlled the ball inside the box and calmly finished beyond David de Gea to open the scoring.

Alexis Ciria doubled Madrid's advantage before halftime, but Piccoli pulled one back for Fiorentina before the break.

In the second half, Moise Kean scored the equalizer to seal the 2-2 draw.

Endrick played more than 70 minutes before being replaced by debutant Carlos Espí.

Mourinho praises Endrick's effort

Following the match, Mourinho highlighted Endrick's commitment after returning to action.

"Dumfries and Endrick trained for three days and played more than 70 minutes. It was a fantastic effort, and that means a lot to me. I thanked them for what they gave us. I liked everything. It was a very good training session."

The comments came only days after Spanish newspaper AS captured Mourinho encouraging the young striker during training with the words:

"Bravo, Endrick, bravo!"

While preseason results rarely offer definitive conclusions, Endrick made the most of his opportunity by marking his return with a goal and an encouraging performance.
