(PHOTOS) Lamine Yamal’s New Boots: Only 304 Pairs Exist Worldwide
Adidas has introduced the F50 LY304, the first exclusive boots for Lamine Yamal, the rising star of Spanish football. This limited-edition release honors a memorable 2024 for Yamal, marked by his high school graduation and his standout performance in the UEFA Euro 2024, where he emerged as one of Europe’s brightest talents.
A Tribute to His City and Unique Style
Designed in collaboration with Yamal himself, the boots reflect his signature style and meteoric rise. Inspired by his personal preferences, Lamine chose pink as the dominant color, a bold representation of his personality and flair on the field. The iconic F50 logo has been replaced with “304” in gold, a nod to the postal code of his hometown, where his journey to football stardom began.
“This year has felt like a dream for me,” Lamine Yamal said. “Working with Adidas on my first exclusive boots was incredible. I wanted a design that represented my style and the 304, a number that means so much to me and my community. Pink is one of my favorite colors, and I love how the boots stand out, just like my game.”
An Exclusive Release: Only 304 Pairs Worldwide
Adidas will release just 304 pairs of the F50 LY304, available exclusively in a laceless version. The number pays homage to the postal code that symbolizes Lamine Yamal’s roots and his deep connection to his community.
Launch Date: The Adidas F50 LY304 will be available starting December 18.
Adidas Praises Yamal: A Generational Talent
Sam Handy, General Manager of Football at Adidas, stated: “Lamine Yamal joins an elite group of players with their own exclusive boots. Achieving this milestone before turning 18 is a testament to his talent and global impact. It was essential to involve Lamine in the design process, and the result reflects not just his skill but his unique personality.”
What Injury Does Lamine Yamal Have?
The young Barcelona winger is expected to be out for three to four weeks due to a Grade 1 sprain of the anterior syndesmotic ligament in his right ankle, as confirmed by the club’s medical team.
Yamal sustained the injury during Barcelona’s LaLiga match against Leganés (0-1) at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium. In the 16th minute, he suffered a hard tackle from Cameroonian midfielder Yvan Neyou. He was visibly in pain and had to be substituted in the 75th minute by Gavi.
This marks Yamal’s second right ankle injury this season. He previously missed three weeks due to a syndesmosis injury sustained during the Champions League match against Red Star Belgrade on November 6.
Without the Spanish international, Barcelona suffered a loss against Real Sociedad (1-0), drew with Celta Vigo (2-2) in LaLiga, and secured a 3-0 win over Brest in the Champions League.
A key player in Hansi Flick’s starting XI, Yamal has recorded six goals and 11 assists this season. His impressive stats make him the third-highest assist provider across Europe’s top five leagues this year.
