Ancelotti’s Warning to an Arda Güler Erased at Real Madrid
The Turkish player has gone five consecutive matches without playing.
Even though Carlo Ancelotti tries to deny it every time he is asked about it, it’s clear that something is going on with Arda Güler at Real Madrid. After a first season of adaptation, even performing brilliantly in the Eurocup with Turkey hasn’t changed his situation at Real Madrid, where his involvement has become non-existent.

Arda Güler’s Situation at Real Madrid
In his second season at Real Madrid, Arda Güler has barely played 967 minutes. These numbers make him the fifth player on the roster with the least participation, only ahead of Carvajal (injured), Lunin (backup goalkeeper), Endrick (recently signed), and Alaba (recovering from a serious injury). “I always talk with him, with Endrick, and with the young players,” said Ancelotti before the match against Real Sociedad.
Additionally, Güler’s involvement in recent matches has disappeared. Since the last Copa del Rey round against Leganés, he hasn’t worn the Real Madrid jersey in any of the last five matches. It’s clear something is happening: “I read there’s a case with Güler, but it hasn’t arrived here yet. He’s working and wants to play, like everyone else, but it’s a process for him and for all the young players who’ve had players like Rodrygo, Valverde, or Vinícius Jr.,” Ancelotti insisted.
Ancelotti’s Words and Güler’s Uncertain Future
The Copa del Rey could be a good stage for Güler to regain involvement. However, Brahim is ahead of him, and Bellingham’s suspension in LaLiga and Champions closes another door in the Real Madrid lineup for him to play against Real Sociedad. “He needs time to adapt to the best squad in the world because there are players with very high levels, and the competition is intense. Everyone understands it, and if someone doesn’t understand it, they have to.”
A strong statement from Ancelotti, who also sent another message to Güler’s environment: “I want a player who works, who learns, and who wants to play. He spends a lot of time with other people, and I don’t know if they’re on the same page I want to be with him.” Meanwhile, speculations about a potential exit from Real Madrid next summer continue to grow.
