Bad News for Real Madrid with Jude Bellingham and Aurélien Tchouaméni
Neither the Englishman nor the Frenchman trained on the eve of Real Madrid's match against Real Sociedad and will miss the game.
Aurélien Tchouaméni and Jude Bellingham did not train with the squad ahead of LaLiga EA Sports' return, and will miss Real Madrid's visit to Real Sociedad on Saturday, joining the list of absentees due to injuries: David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga, and Dani Ceballos.
At the start of Real Madrid’s final training session at their training ground, with the first few minutes open to media, the absence of Tchouaméni and Bellingham on the pitch was evident. Both players tested their recovery alongside their teammates on Thursday.
“Tomorrow they won’t play because it’s still too soon to include them after doing only a small part of the work yesterday,” Carlo Ancelotti confirmed after the training session at Ciudad Real Madrid.
Doubts for Champions League
The Italian coach is already looking ahead to next Tuesday, the day of their Champions League debut against Stuttgart. “We’ll see how they evolve in the coming days to determine if they’ll be available for Tuesday’s match,” he acknowledged.
Tchouaméni has been unable to play for France due to a left foot problem, while Bellingham has been sidelined since August 23 after sustaining an injury to the plantar flexor muscle during a training session. ‘Carletto’ is opting for caution and will not rush their returns.
The good news for the Madrid coach was the confirmation of Brazilian Éder Militao’s recovery from a muscular overload. He trained at the same pace as the group and, like Ferland Mendy, could be included in the squad, as could Jesús Vallejo, once he has overcome his muscle issues.
Real Madrid concluded their preparation for the trip to San Sebastián with the absences of injured players Alaba, Camavinga, and Ceballos, in a light training session that allowed Ancelotti to assess the condition of Brazilians Vinícius, Rodrygo, and Endrick, who were the last to return from international duty, to decide on a starting lineup with changes from their last match.
