Raphinha enters the top Brazilian goal scorers in Barcelona history
With his brace in Barcelona's 5-1 win over Mallorca at Son Moix, forward Raphael Dias 'Raphinha' has become the seventh highest-scoring Brazilian in the club's history.
Climbing the ranks in Brazilian goal scorer history
The winger from Porto Alegre now has 36 goals (and 31 assists) in 108 games for the Blaugrana, continuing his rise up the list of Brazilians with the most goals at Barça. After surpassing Giovanni Silva (35 goals in 107 games), Raphinha now has Romario de Souza (39 goals in 35 games), Ronaldo Nazário (47 in 49), Ronaldo de Assís 'Ronaldinho' (94 in 207), Neymar da Silva (105 in 186), Evaristo de Macedo (105 in 151), and Vítor Borba 'Rivaldo', who leads the list with 130 goals in 235 matches.
"Yes, I can say I'm living my best moment. I can't stop here, I want to do much more for this badge. It’s a club I have a huge affection for. Everything I can give on the field, I will give," said Raphinha after leading his team’s thrashing of Mallorca.
The most productive season of his career
At 27 years old and in his third season at Barcelona, the '11' Blaugrana has become a key figure on the field and also in the locker room, where he serves as one of the team’s captains. The season isn’t even halfway through, and Raphinha already has 16 goals and 8 assists, his best offensive stats in his career. The 2017-18 season, when he played for Vitória de Guimarães, had been his most productive until now, with 18 goals and 4 assists.
To put Raphinha's incredible form into perspective, it’s worth remembering that his compatriot Vinícius Jr., who finished second in the 2024 Ballon d'Or race, ended last season with 24 goals and 9 assists. With his current progression, Raphinha is set to surpass those numbers easily if he keeps up his performance.
