Vinícius Testifies Before Judge
Real Madrid player Vinicius J.R. testified via video conference before the Court of Instruction Number 4 of Valladolid on Thursday, as a victim of insults directed towards him at the José Zorrilla stadium.
The testimony took place during the morning from the Court of Instruction Number 1 of Alcobendas (Madrid), according to sources from the Superior Court of Justice of Castilla y León (TSJCyL), as reported by EFE.
The proceedings remain open for incidents that occurred during the Real Valladolid-Real Madrid match held on December 30, 2022, and the court has admitted Real Madrid's involvement as a popular action with the condition
of prior payment of bail.
On February 29, five men investigated as alleged perpetrators of racist insults towards the player testified before the judge, either denying the accusations or claiming they didn't recall, according to legal sources.
The preliminary proceedings of the Court relate to the potential commission of an offense under Article 510.2 of the Penal Code - hate crime - which, if proven, may result in a fine.
