Barcelona Returns to Camp Nou with a Special Mission
However, the match presents an additional challenge for the Catalan side: Raphinha will be unavailable due to fitness issues. His absence forces the German coach to adjust his attacking options just as the schedule begins to demand careful management of the squad.
Barcelona Is One Win Away from a Historic Milestone
The Blaugrana arrive with seven wins from seven matches, 21 points, and a five-point lead over Atlético Madrid. They have also scored 31 goals and conceded seven, figures that highlight their emphatic start to the season and their position at the top of the standings.
A victory over Getafe would give Barcelona eight consecutive wins from the start of a LaLiga campaign. The club has achieved a similar feat only once before, during the 2013–14 season, making this match an opportunity to equal one of its best-ever records. With Lamine Yamal among their main attacking threats, Flick will look to maintain the pressure despite Raphinha's absence.
Getafe Wants to Spoil Flick's Plans
Getafe, coached by José Bordalás, have collected eight points and need a positive result to improve their position in the standings. Their biggest challenge will be containing an opponent that has shown its ability to punish any defensive lapse.
The Azulones' approach will focus on maintaining their defensive structure, limiting space, and preventing Barcelona from creating clear opportunities around the box. In addition, the reported absences of Mangala and Ünal complicate preparations for the Madrid-based side. To pull off an upset, Getafe will need to withstand the hosts' pressure and make the most of any chances that come their way.
The Keys to the Match
Barcelona enter the game as favorites, but the key will be to establish an early advantage and prevent Getafe from turning the contest into a tightly contested encounter. With a Champions League match against Galatasaray on the horizon, Flick could manage his players' minutes if the scoreline allows. First, however, Barcelona must overcome a test that could bring the team closer to a historic milestone.
