Biereth's Spectacular Record in Ligue 1 with Monaco: Is He the New Haaland?
Biereth has scored three 'hat-tricks' with Monaco in seven Ligue 1 matches
Since his spectacular breakout when he was still a player for RB Salzburg, every top club in Europe has been searching for the next Erling Haaland. However, it seems that Monaco may have found the right candidate in Mika Biereth, who has only been playing at Louis II for a few weeks and has already broken an impressive record in Ligue 1.

Biereth has scored three ‘hat-tricks’ in seven matches
Last Friday, Biereth was the star player leading the decisive victory for Monaco over Stade de Reims, scoring all three goals for his team. However, this is nothing new for Biereth, who has played only seven matches with Monaco in Ligue 1… and has already scored three ‘hat-tricks’! To put his impact in perspective, no player from the top European leagues has scored more goals in February.
Additionally, it’s a coincidence that the three ‘hat-tricks’ Biereth has scored with Monaco in Ligue 1 have all been played at Louis II… and all three have been consecutive. The first was against Auxerre on February 1; the second against Nantes on February 15; and the most recent one against Reims on February 28. A record that no player in Ligue 1 had achieved in 70 years of history.
Arsenal passed on Biereth
Few people know that Biereth, although eligible to represent four different countries, was born in London and was part of the Arsenal academy. However, Mikel Arteta never gave him a debut, and he was transferred to Sturm Graz in July 2024 for nine million euros. Now, with all the forwards injured, he would be a great option for Arsenal.
Biereth, however, is focused on continuing to grow with Monaco: “This moment is amazing. I score a lot of goals, and that’s always good, but there’s also the quality of my teammates who give me great passes. I take it game by game, I’m a goal scorer, and I want to score goals in every match,” he said after the game against Reims. Has a new Haaland been born?
