De Zerbi’s Olympique Marseille returned to winning form in Matchday 12 of Ligue 1, defeating RC Lens 3-1. Valentin Rongier, Luis Henrique, and Hojbjerg scored for Marseille, while Fulgini netted for Lens.

After a disappointing loss to Auxerre in their previous league match, Marseille came back from the international break with a renewed focus, determined to fight for a top spot against Still’s RC Lens.

The breakthrough came early in the second half, with Valentin Rongier opening the scoring in the 49th minute. Luis Henrique extended the lead with a composed finish in the 57th minute.

Lens managed to pull one back through Fulgini late in the match, narrowing the score to 2-1. However, Hojbjerg’s goal in the 89th minute ended any hopes of a comeback, securing a 3-1 victory for Marseille. With this result, Marseille moves up to third place in the table with 23 points, while Lens slips to eighth with 17.
