Rennes 1-4 Paris Saint-Germain: Dembele scores twice as PSG return to winning ways
Paris Saint-Germain saw a 22-match unbeaten streak ended by Liverpool in midweek, but Luis Enrique's side responded in style on Saturday.
Ousmane Dembele scored his 20th league goal of the season, as Paris Saint-Germain got back to winning ways with a 4-1 victory over Rennes.
Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos were also on target for Luis Enrique's side, who responded to their midweek defeat against Liverpool by moving 16 points clear at the Ligue 1 summit.
PSG broke the deadlock in the 27th minute as Desire Doue released Barcola, who curled home his 13th league goal of the season.
Barcola turned provider as the visitors doubled their lead five minutes after the restart, cutting the ball back for Ramos to slot home, though Lilian Brassier's header halved Rennes' deficit soon after.
However, Dembele climbed off the bench to put the game beyond the hosts with two goals in stoppage time.
First, Achraf Hakimi put the ball on a plate for him to bundle home, before he curled in an 18-yard effort to take his Ligue 1 goal tally for the campaign to 20.
Data Debrief: PSG edge closer to Milan's record
PSG stretched their unbeaten away streak in Ligue 1 to 37 matches, with AC Milan (38 between 1991 and 1993) the only side in the big five European leagues to enjoy a longer run.
With his goal and assist in a sixth game in 2025 - more than any other player in the big five European leagues - Barcola has now been involved in 30 goals in all competitions this season (18 goals, 12 assists).
Dembele put the result beyond doubt by scoring twice from the bench in a league game for the first time in his career.
PSG took their goal tally in Ligue 1 this term to 70, becoming the first team to do so after 25 matches of a French top-flight campaign on three separate occasions.
