The New Haaland? This Player Scored 10 Goals in a Single Match!
Chase Adams stood out in the spectacular 22-0 victory of the United States over the Virgin Islands.
The first day Erling Haaland made a name for himself was in May 2019 during the U-20 World Cup, where Norway defeated Honduras 12-0. On that day, the current Manchester City player scored nine goals! A record never seen before at youth levels… until the emergence of Chase Adams.

Chase Adams Breaks Haaland's Record
This forward, born in April 2008, was the standout player in the massive victory that the United States U-17 team handed the Virgin Islands. The result was a 22-0 win for the Stars and Stripes… and young Chase Adams was involved in 10 of those goals. No youth player from the United States had ever scored so many goals in a single match.
The national team gave no chance to the Virgin Islands, who didn’t even manage a shot on goal throughout the game. The United States, leading 14-0 at halftime, had eight different goal scorers. But none could match the stellar performance of Chase Adams, who scored six goals before the break.
The Replacement for ‘Cucho’ Hernández at Columbus Crew?
Chase Adams has made history in the United States, as no player had scored so many goals in one match before. Especially since the biggest victory in the history of the U-17 team had been an 8-0 win over Guadeloupe in a qualifying match.
At just 16 years old, Chase Adams is already part of the Columbus Crew's youth team, with whom he has played 22 matches… scoring 10 goals and providing four assists. Perhaps, with ‘Cucho’ Hernández's move to Betis, this is the right moment to see him play with the first team in the MLS.
