City Prepares Tribute to Rodri for His Ballon d'Or
Rodrigo Hernández, the recent winner of the Ballon d'Or, will be honored this Saturday before his team, Manchester City, faces Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium.
The Madrid-born midfielder, who has been traveling in Spain in recent days, received the Ballon d'Or a few weeks ago, surpassing Brazilian Vinícius Júnior in the voting. This Saturday, Rodri will return to his stadium to receive a well-deserved tribute.
The midfielder will be welcomed on the field alongside the trophy, becoming the first player in Manchester City's history to win the prestigious award.
The City fans have been asked to arrive 20 minutes before the match begins, and the club is offering free printing of Rodri's name on any shirts purchased during these days and until Sunday.
Currently, Rodri is recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury he sustained in a draw against Arsenal. Although the initial prognosis suggested he would miss the entire season, the midfielder aims to be fit for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held between June and July.
