The Transfer Wishlist Amorim has for Manchester United
Rúben Amorim, the current Manchester United manager, seems to be planning some big moves to strengthen his squad for next season. Recent reports suggest the Portuguese coach has asked the Red Devils' board to secure a double swoop from his former club, Sporting CP: Viktor Gyökeres and Geovany Quenda.
Swedish striker Gyökeres, a key player at Sporting and the man behind a stunning hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League, has caught the attention of top European clubs. Amorim, who knows the player’s abilities inside out, believes his speed and scoring prowess could be the perfect addition to lead United’s attack. Although his release clause is steep, there’s talk of a more reasonable price tag, making a deal more likely.
On the other hand, Quenda, one of Sporting’s rising stars, is also on United’s radar. Despite his young age, the winger has shown incredible maturity on the pitch, and United is reportedly willing to negotiate a deal that would allow him to join in the summer, giving Sporting time to find a proper replacement. However, his €100 million release clause might make things tricky.
These potential signings wouldn’t just show United’s intent in the transfer market but also underline Amorim’s tactical vision. If he can bring both players to Old Trafford, it could lay the foundation for a major shake-up, bringing the Red Devils back to the top, where their fans believe they belong.
