When and Where to Watch the Champions League in the United States, Spain, and the United Kingdom
Here’s when all the matches of the first round of the new UEFA Champions League are and where you can watch them.
The most anticipated edition of the UEFA Champions League is here, Europe's premier club football tournament, now bigger than ever. More teams, more matches, and more excitement.
This season, the new qualification format features 36 teams. Each team will face eight different opponents (four at home and four away). There will be no groups—just one unified table for all teams.
The goal is to finish in the top eight after the eight matches to advance directly to the Round of 16.
Teams finishing between ninth and 24th will face a new knockout round, the play-in for a spot in the Round of 16. Teams ranked 25th to 36th will be eliminated.
Matchdays
For the first time, Champions League matches will also be played on Thursdays this season. Matches will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each round.
