Álvaro Morata Hospitalized After Training Incident
Álvaro Morata, forward for Milan and captain of the Spanish national team, was urgently hospitalized this Thursday after suffering a head injury during today’s training session.
The striker, now doubtful for the upcoming Serie A match against Cagliari and potentially missing the national team call-up for the upcoming international break, underwent instrumental tests at the hospital in Legnano, Milan (northern Italy), which ruled out any serious injury, according to local media reports.
The club has conveyed a degree of reassurance for now, although the player will spend the night in the hospital for constant monitoring.
At this point, it seems unlikely that the Madrid-born player, who scored one of the goals in Milan's significant victory over Real Madrid (1-3) last Tuesday in the Champions League, will be available for the Italian league match happening in just two days.
This Friday, Luis de la Fuente will announce the squad for the Nations League matches against Denmark on Friday, November 15, and Switzerland on Monday, November 18, for which the Milan player is now seriously doubtful.
