Kylian Mbappé's Real Madrid Salary: Inside the Numbers
Kylian Mbappé's salary at Real Madrid has been a topic of much discussion since his arrival at the club, particularly due to speculation around his lucrative contract.
While official figures are not disclosed, journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon has revealed that Mbappé would earn approximately $36 million gross per season, including both his salary and a significant signing bonus.
According to Álvarez de Mon, Mbappé's contract is structured to not compromise the financial stability of Real Madrid. The club has made efforts to optimize its budget, allocating $482 million to the wage bill for the 2024/25 season, a figure lower than the $504 million invested in the previous campaign.
The departures of players such as Toni Kroos and Nacho, along with the salary reduction of Luka Modric, have freed up space for Mbappé's arrival without jeopardizing the club's finances.
Mbappé's signing bonus, estimated at $150 million spread over five years, was key to attracting the forward to the team without offering a salary similar to what he received at PSG. According to Álvarez de Mon's financial analysis, the salary and bonus are strategically distributed, resulting in an approximate net expenditure of 18 million euros per year for the club.
