Real Madrid Gives Official Medical Report on Eduardo Camavinga
The white club has made public the French midfielder's medical report. He suffers from a significant knee injury. Here is the estimated recovery time.
Eduardo Camavinga raised all the alarms during Tuesday's training session before the UEFA Super Cup, and on Wednesday, Real Madrid released the medical report on his injury.
"After the tests conducted today, our player Eduardo Camavinga has been diagnosed with a sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee," reads the medical note issued by Real Madrid.
Although the club's medical report does not specify an exact duration for the recovery period and only states "pending evolution," the French midfielder could be sidelined for between six and eight weeks.
Camavinga will miss not only the UEFA Super Cup but also the start of the league season. This is a significant loss for Ancelotti in midfield.
Carlo Ancelotti was visibly frustrated when he saw Camavinga clutching his knee. He threw the stopwatch he was holding violently onto the grass, realizing that he might have lost one of his key midfielders.
