A few months later, on November 3, 2022, he made his professional debut in a UEFA Europa League match against Red Star Belgrade, coming off the bench in a 4-1 victory.
His Ligue 1 breakthrough came on December 28, 2022, when he entered at halftime against AJ Auxerre and scored two crucial goals to lead Monaco to a thrilling 3-2 win.
Although he represented France at youth levels, Ben Seghir ultimately chose to play for Morocco on the international stage.

He is joined by Karim Konate (Ivory Coast/Salzburg), Oumar Diakite (Ivory Coast/Reims), Yankuba Minteh (Gambia/Brighton), and Lamine Camara (Senegal).
The Moroccan international also made the shortlist for the 2024 Golden Boy award, an honor recognizing the best under-21 player in Europe.
