Luis Enrique Brings Back His Favorite Player at PSG
The young Zaïre-Emery is included in the PSG squad for the Coupe de France match
PSG presented this morning the list of players called up to travel and face the humble Stade Briochin, who are ranked ninth in National 2, in the Coupe de France. Luis Enrique, although warning that he doesn't want any surprises, has given rest to Donnarumma, Vitinha, and King-In Lee. However, he has brought back his favorite player.

Zaïre-Emery returns with PSG
This is the young academy player Warren Zaïre-Emery, the youngest debutant in PSG history, who has been absent from the last seven PSG matches after suffering an ankle injury in the Champions League match against Stuttgart. In recent days, he was seen doing some work at the training center and, after completing a session with the rest of his teammates, he is now available again.
Zaïre-Emery is one of the players Luis Enrique has bet on the most since becoming PSG's coach in the summer of 2023. In fact, last season, he was the fourth player who played the most minutes, just behind Mbappé, Donnarumma, and Vitinha. "What can I say? Look at his level, how he plays, and how he trains. He seems like a 34-year-old player," Luis Enrique said last season.
Zaïre-Emery must reclaim his spot
However, this season, Zaïre Emery has stopped being an undisputed player in PSG's midfield due to the high level of Fabián after winning the European Championship with Spain, and especially the signing of Joao Neves. Competition for his position has increased, and now, after overcoming his injury, he must win Luis Enrique over again.
Although the Coupe opponent isn't of great stature, it would be reckless of Luis Enrique to start Warren Zaïre-Emery after being out for almost a month. The most likely scenario is that he will get minutes in the second half if the match is already decided, and gradually regain his rhythm.
