Vinícius Jr.'s Reaction to Injury: Blames the 'Crazy' Schedule
The Real Madrid forward posted a message on his social media after the confirmation of his muscle injury, which will keep him sidelined for several weeks.
Real Madrid forward Vinícius Junior, sidelined due to a left hamstring injury, has attributed his injury to the "crazy schedule" of modern football.
"The crazy schedule... TIME TO RECOVER!" he wrote on his official X account, quoting the medical report from Real Madrid.
The Brazilian, who provided an assist to Kylian Mbappé in the goal that opened the scoring against Leganés on Sunday, will be out of action for at least the next three weeks, meaning he will miss the Champions League visit to Liverpool this Wednesday.
This is Vinícius' second injury of the season, following back issues in October. It also marks the 23rd injury suffered by Real Madrid players in the three and a half months of competition.
After returning from the international break, Real Madrid has begun a run of nine matches in 28 days, including a trip to Qatar to play in the Intercontinental final on December 18. This means a game every three days, culminating at the Santiago Bernabéu on December 22 against Sevilla.
After that, the team will enjoy a Christmas break before a January filled with a similar schedule, competing in up to four competitions - La Liga, Spanish Super Cup, Copa del Rey, and Champions League.
