(VIDEO) Joe Burrow Reveals He Bought Batmobile for Over $2 Million
If you're a fan of the NFL and Batman, this content is perfect for you. As surreal as it may seem, Joe Burrow and Bruce Wayne now have something in common, as the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback revealed that he bought a Batmobile!
Joe Burrow purchased one of the 10 officially licensed and fully functional Batmobiles sold by Wayne Enterprises Experiences. This latest addition to his car collection was revealed in the premiere episode of "Hard Knocks: In Season with the AFC North" on HBO, which aired on Tuesday night.
How Burrow shared it with Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase
"Have I told you I bought a Batmobile?" Burrow said to wide receivers Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase during practice last week. "I won’t get it for a year, but I bought one."
The Bengals' star quarterback is one of the 10 lucky individuals granted permission to buy one of the Batmobile replicas, which cost $2.99 million.
This vehicle has almost everything a would-be superhero or Pro Bowl quarterback could want: a 6.2-liter General Motors engine producing 525 horsepower, imitation gun turrets, a smoke delivery system, and a jet engine simulation (though without flames).
It’s a bit different from the electric vehicles Burrow prefers, but of course, it’s not every day you get the chance to buy a replica of the famous "Tumbler."
In the clip aired Tuesday night, Burrow joked that he might need to make some additional purchases.
"I think I have to go all-in and buy the expensive batsuit," Burrow said to Chase.
Bengals in Hard Knocks and Burrow's performance
The Bengals were the focus of the first episode of the latest Hard Knocks season, which for the first time features an entire division. Burrow and Cincinnati lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 44-38 on Sunday, extending the Bengals' losing streak to three games.
However, despite the loss, Burrow is having his best season in the league. He leads the NFL in touchdowns (30), passing yards (3,337), and ranks second in Total QBR (73.9).
