The Manning Brothers Return as Pro Bowl Coaches
The NFL announced that Peyton and Eli Manning will once again coach the AFC and NFC teams, respectively, for the 2025 Pro Bowl. The event is set for February 2 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
"We're thrilled to have the Manning brothers back to renew their rivalry. The Pro Bowl brings together the best NFL players, giving fans a chance to see their favorites without helmets," said Peter O'Reilly, NFL's executive vice president for events and international operations.
This marks the third consecutive year the Manning brothers, both two-time Super Bowl champions, will lead the top players from their respective conferences.
"Peyton and Eli have been brainstorming some exciting new skill competitions that we’ll unveil soon. Orlando will undoubtedly host an unforgettable event for fans, players, and their families to celebrate the best of the NFL," added O'Reilly.
Since 2023, the Pro Bowl has shifted from a traditional football game to a flag football showdown to minimize injury risks after the grueling 17-game regular season. The Pro Bowl Games now include various activities, with the AFC vs. NFC flag football match as the centerpiece on the Sunday before the Super Bowl.
Eli's NFC squad has bested Peyton’s AFC team in the past two editions. Eli, the only quarterback to beat Tom Brady's New England Patriots twice in Super Bowls, couldn't resist a playful jab:
"I love being part of the Pro Bowl, and hearing Peyton complain about losing every year makes it even better."
Peyton, who led teams to victory in Super Bowls XLI and 50, fired back confidently:
"This year, my AFC team will finally end Eli's two-year lucky streak."
