River Plate and Their Thrilling Debut in The Libertadores
The Venezuelan team Deportivo Táchira, current champion of the national football league, will host the Argentine team River Plate in the first matchday of the Group Stage of the Copa Libertadores.

On the other hand, River Plate suffered a 1-0 defeat against Huracán last Friday and ended up in fourth place in Zone A, with 21 points, tied with Vélez and on the threshold to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition.
Both teams were assigned to Group H of the continental tournament and will debut at the Pueblo Nuevo Sports Complex.
River Plate traveled to Colombia this Sunday for their debut in the Libertadores in Venezuela, as they cannot fly directly due to the recent ban imposed by the government of Nicolás Maduro on the overflight of any aircraft coming to or from Argentina.
