What Matches Will Dani Olmo Miss Due to Injury?
The Barcelona forward will be out for four to five weeks, missing all of these matches.
Dani Olmo will be sidelined for four to five weeks due to a hamstring injury in his right leg, confirmed by medical tests conducted this morning.
FC Barcelona issued an official statement regarding the Terrassa midfielder's condition, revealing that he will miss a total of seven matches for the Catalan club, as well as Spain’s two international fixtures during the upcoming October window.
Olmo's injury is a significant setback for Barça, as the player has been pivotal in Hansi Flick's lineup. If the maximum recovery time of five weeks is met, the midfielder will be unavailable for key matches in both LaLiga and the Champions League.
How long will he be out?
Among the matches Olmo is expected to miss for Barça are four away fixtures: Monaco (Champions League), Villarreal, Osasuna, and Alavés. The club will also play three home games at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys: Getafe, Young Boys, and Sevilla.
The club hopes that Olmo might return in time for the crucial showdown against Bayern Munich on October 23, or for the El Clásico against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on October 27, but his participation remains uncertain.
On the international stage, Olmo will also be absent from Spain's Nations League commitments. Spain is set to face Denmark on October 12 and Serbia on October 15, in matches corresponding to matchdays 3 and 4 of the tournament.
Olmo's absence is a blow for both Barcelona and the Spanish national team, as they temporarily lose one of their key players during a crucial part of the season.
