Steve Mounie Leads Brest to the Top of the Table
Italian coach Fabio Grosso's debut did not have the desired effect, and Lyon suffered a defeat against Brest (1-0) on Saturday at the Francis Le Ble stadium. The decisive goal came in the late stages, courtesy of Benin's Steve Mounie, which propelled his team to the top of the Ligue 1 table in France.
In the 87th minute, Kenny Lala delivered a cross from the right, and Mounie headed it past Anthony Lopes to secure victory for Eric Roy's Brest, putting them one point ahead of Nice, which had won against Monaco on Friday.
