Bellingham Only Spoke to Jadon Sancho About This
Jude Bellingham continues to win over Real Madrid fans with his statements.
Jude Bellingham will play in his first Champions League final at Wembley, "the reason" he signed for Real Madrid, as he confessed, and a dream to link his name to a club he "always" wanted to be "a small part of its history."
"It's the reason I'm here. I always dreamed of playing for the team and scoring for Real Madrid; its name is tied to the Champions League. It's what I always wanted, to be a small part of the history of this club and keep helping to make it," he told the club's media on the open day before the big final.
Jude will face his former club, Borussia Dortmund, in "a very special match." He admitted he hasn't spoken to his ex-teammates recently, only to his close friend Jadon Sancho.
"It's a very special game for me. We have to try to set emotions aside. It's been a fantastic first season at Real Madrid. Everyone has welcomed me warmly, and it's been great fun playing with my teammates," he said.
"I haven't talked to them (Dortmund players). This week, I spoke with Sancho and told him we'd see each other there. Dortmund welcomed me very well; I have great memories, and it means a lot to me," he added.
The English midfielder warned about the danger of feeling superior to Dortmund before playing the final.
"It's important to play at the highest level because when we do, it's hard for other teams to stop us. I'm sure the coaching staff is analyzing everything about the opponent, and I trust them, but to win, we have to be at one hundred percent," he concluded.
