Banega: "It Would Be Nice to See Messi in The Olympics"
Before their match against Lionel Messi's Inter Miami, Éver Banega, midfielder for Newell's Old Boys, expressed his wish for Messi to "join" the Argentine national team at the Olympic Games to experience another "beautiful" stage with the national team in that tournament, which he had already won in previous years.
"I don't know what he will decide, but it would be very nice if he could accompany all those guys who qualified, especially knowing that he already knows what the Olympics are like and has won them," said the Argentine midfielder at a press conference.
It is still unknown if Messi will participate in the Olympic Games due to his busy schedule, as he will be competing in three tournaments with Inter Miami: the MLS, the Concachampions, and the Leagues Cup. On the other hand, with the Argentine national team, he has the Copa América in the United States.
"We hope he makes the best decision, but it would be nice to see him again in the Olympic Games with the national team," added the midfielder.
