Tyreek Hill Detained Before Dolphins Game: Will He Play?
Just hours before debuting in a new NFL season, the Dolphins faced a major setback ahead of their matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, as the team's star, Tyreek Hill, was detained outside Hard Rock Stadium.
According to Adam Schefter, the incident occurred after Hill violated traffic laws in the vicinity of the stadium, leading to his temporary arrest. However, he has been released and will be available for the Dolphins' season opener.
"This morning, wide receiver Tyreek Hill was briefly detained by police for a traffic incident a few blocks from the stadium. He has since been released. Several teammates witnessed the incident and stopped to offer support. Tyreek and the other players involved have safely arrived at the stadium and will be available for today’s game," the team stated, dispelling rumors about Hill’s absence from the game.
Undoubtedly, Dolphins fans experienced a scare, but they will have one of the league’s top players for the season opener. Tyreek Hill will look to replicate last season’s performance, where he recorded 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, helping Miami become one of the teams to watch.
